I’ll preface this review by saying I’m on the lower side of tolerance for NVH but at the same time looking for better performance than what stock provides. I’m not looking for wheel hop reduction primarily, just better/tighter shifting experience and less engine movement. Here’s my past experience with other various solutions. I have a 10th gen Si for context.
FK8 oem: Better than stock Si but obviously not by much.
FK8 oem with whiteline insert: Very good performance improvement for very little cost but intolerable vibrating with A/C on at idle.
FK8 oem with Poweflex insert: Almost no added NVH but performance improvements are moderate and leaves more to be desired.
Hardrace non-FK8: Didn’t feel much difference from an FK8 oem.
Hardrace FK8: Very good performance improvement in all areas. Only downside is a bit too much NVH when taking off from a stop and low speeds in 2nd gear.
With the Wunderladen street mount I have finally found that one RMM that is the best of both worlds that other solutions could not fulfill. It truly provides very good performance improvements while maintaining very friendly street manners. After 125 miles of break-in, the initial added NVH, that wasn’t bad in the first place, has decreased a good amount. My wife and kids haven’t even really noticed any changes. I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical at first since this is using poly bushings but Wunderladen has delivered in spades like all their other products. Can’t recommend this enough, especially for the NVH sensitive crowd. The great thing is you can always swap out to race bushings for cheap if the street version isn’t satisfactory.
