I was having a squealing issue with my EBC big bake kit. I purchases these in attempt to alleviate that issue. The squealing stopped but my brake pedal became extremely spongy after installing these shims so I removed them and the great firm pedal feel returned. I'd rather deal with occasional squeal over a soft pedal any day. I'm using Hawk pads so I may try some EBC pads next go round.

We're sorry to hear you're having squealing issues with our brake kit. The EBC titanium shims are not meant to reduce any unwanted noise. It is normal to get some noise while the pads are being bedded in, but having sufficient brake grease on all of the contact points does the best job of combatting unwanted noises.
